Android Pay continues to grow at an impressive rate with more banks supporting the pay service all the time.  Today there are an additional 44 new banks throughout the United States and the UK that have been added.  The complete list of financial institutions supporting the service is well over 100 now ranging from large national banks to regional and state banks.  The update today focused primarily on those regional and state banks.  The good news is, regardless of the size of your banking institution, check the list as it is increasingly likely that it is supported.

Android Pay and Uber have teamed up to give you a great deal now through October 15, 2016.  If you use Uber and you pay for your fare with Android Pay, you will get a 50% discount off that fare.  The better news?  You can do this up to 10 times!  That could be a huge savings for you if you use the service extensively.

What do you have to do?  Well, not much really and chances are you already have everything on your phone you need to take advantage of this promotion.  First, and obviously, you need to have both the Android Pay app and the Uber app on your phone.  If you don’t have them, you can get Android Pay here and Uber here from the Play Store.  Sign into Pay and get it all set up then open up the Uber app and we’ll pick things up after the break.

After months of waiting, Chase has finally started supporting Android Pay.  The support makes Chase one of the last major banks in the United States to support the tap-to-pay app and frankly put it behind smaller, regional banks in supporting the service.  Why the delay is unclear as the bank has been supporting Apple Pay and Samsung Pay for some time.  It was just a matter of them getting around to supporting Android Pay.

If you are a Chase banking customer and have a device that supports the service, you can now add your debit or credit cards to the app to be used at touch terminals for payment.

Good news for those of you in Singapore.  Today you can download the Android Pay app and start using the service wherever tap-and-pay is supported.  The expansion comes a couple of weeks after Samsung Pay made its way to the country and gives users the ability to make secure payments from their phone without having to pull a credit card out of their pocket. In order to use the service, you have to have a MasterCard or Visa from a supported bank.  Those banks include Standard Chartered Bank, OCBC Bank and POSB.  DBS and UOB are also supported.

Bank of America has announced that they are rolling out Android Pay support to 5,000 ATMs across the United States over the course of this year.  The new support will allow users of Android Pay to tap their phone at the ATM to withdraw cash from their accounts as well as check balances and make transfers between accounts.  The good news is the banking giant isn’t waiting around.  2,400 ATMs are expected to have Pay support by the end of this month.

After months of speculation and rumor, Google has announced that Android Pay is now available in the United Kingdom.  The tap-and-pay service rolled out with support from eight nationwide banks and is supported by dozens of retailers across the country.  That support includes the Transport for London network.  Now users in the UK will be able to use their phones to make purchases without having to pull a card out of their wallet, making purchases faster and more conveniently.
