Google Drive for Android – Free – Download Now
The new user interface in Google Drive is aimed to make file moving and sharing much easier. Now you can tap-and-hold a file and move it into a folder easily without having to go through a series of menu steps to do it. You can also tap-and-hold multiple files to download them to your device or share them. When you do a tap-and-hold, a new menu appears at the bottom of the display to give you quick access to these controls. It is a far more elegant way of working and makes working with your files much easier.
Along with these enhancements there is the usual performance improvements and bug fixes to improve Google Drive. Having used this update for a little bit this morning, it does seem to be a bit snappier in responsiveness although I really couldn’t complain before if I’m honest.
Google Drive is free and every Google Gmail users already has a free 5GB account on Drive. You can increase that storage amount if you want for as low as $1.99 per month for up to 100GB of storage.
