The OneDrive app for Windows 10 has a new update rolling out to users that brings new video playback controls. The update build, version 17.27 for those keeping score at home, allows you to skip forward or backwards in a video that you are viewing within the cloud storage app. You can skip backwards in a video in 10 second intervals while skipping ahead is done in 30 second intervals.
Microsoft has also built in keyboard shortcuts in support of the video playback skipping. By pressing Ctrl+B, you can skip backwards. Pressing Ctrl+F skips you forward.
This update to OneDrive for Windows 10 also brings Delve for Windows 10 support within the app. Now you can link your corporate or school Delve account to the OneDrive app and use the Discover feature to find files and it will bubble up relevant files based on Machine Learning of who you work with and content.
Note that if you are an individual user, Delve integration is not an option. It only works on corporate or school Office accounts.
As you would expect, there are other minor bug fixes and stability improvements in this update to the app so you will want to pick it up even if you aren’t keen on the video playback functionality.
The update is rolling out now to the Microsoft Store and should hit Windows 10 devices over the course of the next few days. If you haven’t installed the OneDrive app, you can download it from the Store.
