T-Mobile has released a small software update for the Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus and Galaxy Note8 on their network. The updates are mostly focused on bug fixes and performance improvements. The builds that you are looking for are as follows:
- G960USQU2ARF7 for the Galaxy S9
- G965USQU2ARF7 for the Galaxy S9 Plus
- N950USQU4CRF3 for the Galaxy Note8
All of these updates have been released by T-Mobile at this point so you likely can go to check for the update in Settings on your particular device.
Don’t look for a lot of big changes in these updates. Most of them are focused on bug fixes behind the scenes but there are some fixes of note. Both the S9 and S9 Plus are getting DIGITS updates and RTT updates according to the release notes. The Note8 is getting a fix that addresses a date and time bug as well as some camera improvements.
All of the updates are just shy of 500MB in size so the download of them should be pretty quick but WiFi is still recommended. As always, you’ll need to reboot your phone to apply the update after it has been downloaded. All it, it is a less than 15 minute process.
