The solid mid-range phone from Sony, the Sony Xperia XA1, is now on sale at Amazon for a pretty stunning price. Right now you can pick up the XA1 in black for just $180. That is a savings of $119 off the normal $299 price, or 40% off depending on how you want to look at it. The best part is, this is the US warranty backed variant of the phone, not the International version that often goes on sale at Amazon.
The Sony Xperia XA1 made its debut in May of last year and earlier this year it, along with most of the rest of the Sony 2017 phone lineup, was updated to Android Oreo. Sony, for their part, does a pretty solid job of getting updates out to their various phones.
For those that don’t recall, the XA1 is a 5″ display phone with Full HD resolution at 1280 x 720 and is powered by the MediaTek P20 octa-core processor. That processor has four cores running at 2.3GHz and four running at 1.6GHz which provides excellent performance. The processor is coupled with 3GB of RAM and it the phone has 32GB of internal storage. That storage can be expanded up to 256GB thanks to the MicroSD slot.
Camera wise, you have a 23MP main camera on the back of the device while the front facing selfie camera is an 8MP shooter. All this is powered by a 2300mAh battery for all day performance.
The phone is sold unlocked and works with GSM carriers here in the United States like AT&T and T-Mobile. Unfortunately it isn’t an option for Sprint and Verizon customers as CDMA isn’t supported.
