Today’s Deal is on the entry level but well appointed LG X Charge. This is one of the Amazon Prime phones and right now you can pick it up for $119 with the Prime ads on the lock screen. Normally this version of the phone is $149.
The LG X Charge is a 5.5″ 720p display phone powered by the MediaTek MT6750 SoC. It has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a MicroSD slot for memory expansion. That memory can be expanded up to 2TB. It has a 13MP main camera and a 5MP selfie camera.
The X Charge is sold unlocked and will work with AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile and runs Android Nougat 7.1.
One of the pretty cool features that this phone has is the Auto Selfie feature. When enabled, the phone will recognize faces and will give you a countdown to take a selfie from the front camera. There are no buttons to push so it makes it easier to take the phone if you are wearing gloves for example.
Since this is an Amazon Prime phone, all of the key Amazon apps will be pre-installed like Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, Amazon Kindle and others. You will have access to the Google Play Store as well as the Amazon Underground store to get additional apps.
Finally, Amazon is indicating that even with paid one day shipping that you won’t be able to get it before Christmas. The earliest you can get it at this point is Tuesday, December 26th. Still, for this price point, if you are looking for a last minute gift that will be a day late, this is one to consider.
