Microsoft Launcher has hit an important stage in its usage: 1 Million.
That is the number of active users of the launcher from Redmond which was formerly known as Arrow Launcher. The news of this important milestone came from Microsoft’s Joshua Bradley via Twitter.

In the grand scheme of the Play Store, 1 million active users might seem small but for a launcher that the company has only really started promoting hard over the past couple of months, it is a nice figure.
Microsoft Launcher, now up to version 4.2, is a complete revamp of what was Arrow Launcher with improved notifications, utilities and integrations. It is probably the best launcher for Android users who are embedded in the Microsoft ecosystem – Office 365, SharePoint, Exchange, etc. – because it bubbles up content to you quickly and easily via the Utility page. Feature wise, it is comparable to most launchers out there today but for those that want to turn all the knobs, Nova Launcher is probably still the best out there. If you don’t need that though and just want your content handy, it is excellent.
Microsoft Launcher has been downloaded over 5 million times according to the Play Store. This again is a relatively small number compared to some of Google’s own apps but equally shows that people are responding to the launcher and Microsoft in general when it comes to Android apps.
The launcher is free in the Play Store to try out and see if it is the right one for you.
