Good news for those of you who have ordered the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P as it looks like your phones could ship as early as this week. Multiple people have reported that their orders for the new Android Marshmallow-based phones have moved from “Preorder” to “Pending”, an indicator that Google is preparing to start shipping the devices. While Google has not confirmed this in any way, other leaks report to internal documents indicating an October 13th ship date for the Nexus 5X. That’s tomorrow peeps.
Preorders for the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, by all indications, have been positive and Google’s store had no issues keeping up with demand unlike previous Nexus launches. Both the 5X and the 6P
as you know will come pre-loaded with Android Marshmallow.
In reviewing the Google Store this morning, it does look like the bigger order challenge lies with the Nexus 6P currently. If you want the larger 5.7″ display device, only 32GB models are available. 64GB and 128GB models are indicating as being sold out. I suspect this means that Google has reserved all the stock for those who preordered them but there is no indication of when they will be available again for ordering.
