ClintonFitch.com App Updated With Pull-Down Refresh Support

An updated version of the ClintonFitch.com site app for Android is now rolling out to the Google Play Store.  The update, version 10.05 for those keeping score at home, brings mostly behind-the-scene changes to improve the overall feel and function of the app.

One new feature in this build is the ability to pull down on your device’s screen to refresh the news feed.  This was something that has been needed for a while and now you don’t have to exit the app or wait for the app to refresh itself using background services.  In order to work with Oreo better, this feature needed to be added.

The overall look of the ClintonFitch.com app has been tweaked with a new color scheme and font changes that should make it more readable on smaller devices.

ClintonFitch.com App Update Brings New Look and Fixes

A new update to the ClintonFitch.com app is rolling out to the Play Store that brings a raft of changes and improvements.  The new build, version 10 for those keeping score at home, brings an improved layout to the app that is more in compliance with Material Design principles (although not 100% there yet), improved sharing and overall a lot of stability fixes.

This update also brings the app up to the API level 26 (Android Oreo) so for those who have updated to the latest build of Android, things should work smoothly.

ClintonFitch.com App Updated With Improved Menus

For those who have the ClintonFitch.com app installed, there is an update coming your way.  I pushed version 6.0.4 to the Play Store earlier today which has several improvements and fixes in it.  Most notably from a visual perspective, the menu is a lot cleaner and a bit easier to navigate than in the previous build.  I’ve also updated the API level of the app which means it will no longer work on devices running anything lower than Android KitKat at this point.  Based on statistics I don’t think this will impact anyone with the app installed, but be aware if you are on an older device.

ClintonFitch.com App Update With Better Support for Older Devices

For those of you who have installed the ClintonFitch.com app on your Android devices (and Thank You!), there is a new update out this morning.  The update, version 6.0.1 for those keeping score at home, is mostly aimed at improving performance on older devices.  If you have a device running on KitKat then you should see some stability and speed improvements with this new build.  Given that 33% of all of the installs of the app are on KitKat, that should be a big improvement for a good percentage of you.

ClintonFitch.com App Gets Improved Navigation

If you have downloaded the official app for the site, there is a new update in the Google Play Store that brings some much needed improvements around navigation.  The ClintonFitch.com app was updated to version 5.0.8(15) yesterday and with it comes a new side swipe menu to navigate to other parts of the site right from within the app.  For example, if you want to just look at reviews you can select Reviews by swiping from the left side of your display and choosing it.  The idea is to make the app a bit easier to navigate and find the content you are most interested in reading.  You can, of course, use the search function too for something specific.

ClintonFitch.com Android App Updated

This evening I have pushed out an update to the ClintonFitch.com app to the Google Play Store.  The updated version is build 5.0.0 for those keeping score at home and is the first major tweak to the UI since I launched the app back in January.  Now when you open up the app, all of the articles are in a card format instead of a list format.  This makes viewing a bit easier and significantly reduces the amount of scrolling you have to do to get to older posts.  This should make things a bit easier for those of you who have the app loaded on a tablet or large screen phone.
