After halting the rollout last week due to some boot looping issues, Samsung has re-released the Android Oreo update for the Samsung Galaxy S8. The new build is version G950FXXU1CRB7 for the S8 and the S8+ is getting build G955XXU1CRB7. Both builds are just over 500MB in size and it is currently rolling out in Europe.
The South Korean company ended up stopping the update rollout last week due to some users reporting that their phones were boot looping or randomly rebooting. The company quickly reworked the build which early reports suggest that the issues have been resolved.
The update brings the February Android Security Update patch along with all of the Oreo goodness to the S8 and S8+. As for Experience 9, the UI that Samsung has sitting on top of Oreo, this is the first official view of it. This is the UI that is expected to launch on the Galaxy S9 lineup when they are announcing Sunday at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Like the previous update, Samsung is going to slow roll this one. They will be rolling it out in Europe first and eventually it will make its way to the United States. When that will happen exactly is not known.
