Microsoft Arrow Launcher has yet another update rolling out in the Play Store. The update, version 3.6.0.34513 for those keeping score at home, brings a number of UI tweaks and improvements to the launcher. Many of these tweaks are just that: Tweaks. There are, however, some new features to be found in the update too.
One of those new features is the ability to hide the system status bar at the top of your phone. The system status bar is where you see things like your mobile signal indicator, Wi-Fi indicator, battery and notification icons. Now you can hide it from view for a cleaner look to your home screens. To view the status bar, you can just swipe down from the top of your home screen. This new feature is found in Settings>General settings>Keep status bar.
If you are using the Outlook app for your email, you can now see mail from that app in your Recent card on the Utility page of the launcher. Support for the Outlook app has been in Arrow Launcher for a while now but deep integration has been lacking. This

small little improvement gives you a view of your latest emails on the Utility page without having to look at notifications or open Outlook itself.
The Frequent apps card on the Utility page has also been tweaked in this update. Support for dragging apps from the card comes with this release and you can drag apps to one of your Home pages so you can access it more quickly. The ability to enable checkbox and image auto fit has come to the Notes card too.
Finally, there are a lot of overall bug fixes, stabilization and performance improvements in this update to Arrow Launcher. If you use it as your launcher, you’ll want to get the update for these alone as Microsoft continues to improve the responsiveness and overall fluidity of the launcher.
As I put in my review of Microsoft Arrow Launcher earlier this year, if you are tied to the Microsoft ecosystem, seriously consider this for your launcher on your phone or tablet. The company continues to make improvements with every update and recent files and integration with your calendar and email is rock solid. I highly recommend it.
