With the launch of the new Google Pixel lineup just a few weeks away, we now know what the larger of the two anticipated phones will look like thanks to the team over at Droidlife. They got official images of the upcoming Pixel 2 XL as well as pricing information.
First, as for colors, the LG built Pixel 2 XL will come in a “Black & White” color scheme as well as a “Just Black” look. On the Black & White scheme, you have a black glass panel at the top that houses the camera and flash while the rest of the chassis is in white. This is very similar to the current Pixel phones in look although there will be a few changes around the camera size and positioning.
As for price, they are going to be approaching the $1000 mark. The phone will be offered in two variants: 64GB for $849 and 128GB for $949. Google will be offering financing through their store. That means that the 64GB model will be $35.38 over 24 months while the 128GB variant will be $39.54 for the same 24 months.
The Google Pixel event is slated for October 4th where it is expected we will see the new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL at a minimum. Other leaks today suggest we will see a new Google Home mini version, an updated Daydream headset and it looks increasingly likely we will see a new Chromebook Pixel.
