While the new Essential PH-1 won’t start shipping until the end of this month, we do know who the carrier deal is going to be with on the company’s first device. Sprint, according to USA Today, will be the exclusive carrier of the device here in the United States. The phone is going to receive prominent displays within Sprint stores nationally although it was not announced just how long the exclusive relationship would be on the new phone.
The exclusive on the PH-1 is not the first for Sprint as they are also the exclusive carrier on the HTC U11.
While pricing of the PH-1 was not announced for Sprint, it is likely to be in line with the pricing of the phone unlocked directly
from Essential. The 5.7″ phone will be $699 unlocked from Essential while an additional $50 will get you the 360-degree camera attachment. Don’t expect the pricing to be much different if at all from Sprint but you will likely have payment options to pick the phone up.
For those who don’t remember, the 5.71″ phone has a Quad-HD display, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage built-in. It is powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor and has dual 13MP rear cameras. Essential is the brainchild of Andy Rubin, the original creator of Android.
