It looks like those of you who ordered your new Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge from T-Mobile are going to get your shiny new toy a little early. Various users on Reddit have reported that they have received shipping notices from the carrier with some devices shipping as early as today. This is well ahead of the launch date of March 11th which I reported last week when pre-orders began. The shipping dates appear to have been confirmed by T-Mobile reps with these Reddit users and there are big number of them reporting this. It looks like it is a go.
T-Mobile will be the first in shipping the new Samsung devices, with AT&T, Verizon and Sprint all sticking with the March 11th launch date – so far at least. It isn’t the first time that T-Mobile has broken ranks and shipped phones early but to be fair, AT&T has done the same thing many times when it comes to the latest iPhone. It will be interesting to watch over the course of the next few days to see if those who pre-ordered on the other US carriers will get their devices early as well.
