Microsoft has released another update to Outlook for Android today, bringing improved navigation and several bug fixes to the app. The update, version 1.2.5 for those keeping score at home, is available now and is highly recommended for those who are using the email app. While the improve navigation elements actually were release last week in version 1.2, they have been smoothed out a good bit in this update. You shouldn’t see the hesitation many users were experiencing when moving between accounts or from mail to calendar or people for example.

In addition to the improved navigation between mail folders, there are also improvements around mail sync. Because Outlook for Android can sync with a wide range of account types – Exchange, Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo Mail and iCloud – some users were experiencing sync issues with many of these services. I know in my case, my Exchange account would go wonky (yes, that’s a
technical term) for no apparent reason. After applying this update, those issues seem to be behind me.
There are also other minor improvements and updates in the Outlook for Android app that fall under everyone’s favorite “Bug Fixes”
If you are a user of this app I highly recommend getting this update and if you were frustrated with it before, give it another go. This update certainly addresses a lot of issues I had with it and it seems far more stable.
