Microsoft has released an update to the Lumia Creative Studio app for Windows Phone, brining back the popular Color Pop feature along with a few other enhancements that make this a pretty powerful photo editor. The new version, 6.3 for those keeping score, is in the Windows Phone Store now and, as with the other Lumia apps, is free to download to your Windows Phone.

The biggest change in this release is the return of Color Pop. This feature allows you to focus only on one color in a photo while
making the rest of them black & white. You’ve likely seen the effect before in photos and I’ve posted a screenshot of Lumia Creative Studio from my Lumia 1320 to the right to show you the effect and how it is configured in the app. It’s literally just a matter of selecting the color you want to “pop” in the photo.
In addition to Color Pop’s return in Lumia Creative Studio, there are two other big updates that increase the usability and flexibility of the app. First, support for PNG and screenshots is now available so you can now take advantage of this popular file format. Secondly, you can rotate photos 90 degrees from the original while keeping the original locked.
One thing to keep in mind about Lumia Creative Studio is that it is a non-destructive editor. Any photo that you edit within the app you can save as a copy so your original remains untouched.
You will need to be running Windows Phone 8 or 8.1 to use the app but it will work on 512MB devices.
