There is nothing specifically called out in the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 release today as far as fixes or bugs that are addressed.
Given this is a preview (AKA Beta) it is likely focused on performance improvements, bug fixes and other tweaks. I downloaded the update to my Lumia 1320 this morning and so far I’ve not found anything noticeably different from a look perspective. If you find something, post a comment and let everyone know.
What I have notice however is a significant performance improvement. Apps seems to open and close faster and switching between apps feels smoother. I having nothing scientific to measure this of course – it all comes down to personal feel & experience. I’ve also noticed that my Glimpse screen doesn’t flicker like it did under the previous Update 1 build so I can only assume that Microsoft has tweaked this to improve it.
One thing that is clear is that the update does not address the BitLocker issue that is impacting some users. This is where users can download Windows Phone 8.1 and Update 1 but are not updated to Lumia Cyan and all the improvements of that firmware. Microsoft continues to work on this issue but it is not fixed in this update.
If you update to Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 xxx.200 and find some new then be sure post a comment and let me know.
